This quick and easy way to microwave onions for hot dogs, or burgers, is ideal for a quick snack or treat. If you’re asking yourself “how can i cook onions for my burger or hot dog in a microwave without frying?”, this is your dream answer!
You don’t need any special dishes, just a microwave safe bowl. I usually use a Pyrex jug if I am just cooking a few onions, or microwave bowl if I’m making a batch. Any microwave safe dish is fine to use.
You can pre-cook the onions and store them in a pot in the fridge to save time, then simply re-heat the onions for 1 minute in the microwave when it’s time to serve up.
