Lidl Chef Select Cumberland Cocktail Sausages

I bought the Cumberland Cocktail Sausages today as I thoroughly enjoyed the Lincolnshire sausages I bought the other day – and these are just as great tasting!  Lidl Chef Select Cumberland cocktail sausages are their supermarket own brand and have only recently appeared on the shelves.  They’re streets ahead of the older varieties, which were simply “nice enough, as a ready cooked sausage”.

I microwave ready cooked sausages, as well as using them cold, for quick sausage sandwiches, or baguettes or to reheat as part of a cooked breakfast with lashings of baked beans and scrambled eggs.

Once the pack has been opened, I tip the lot into a plastic takeaway box, as it’s a perfect fit – after that, I tend to just dip in and nibble 1-2 when I’m passing the fridge.   VERY tasty.

There are 40 tiny little Cumberland cocktail sausages in each pack, costing £1.59 (so about 4p each).  There are more cocktail sausage flavours in the range: Lincolnshire sausages, Hot & Spicy sausages and the regular cocktail sausages.

Absolutely the BEST ready cooked cocktail sausages I’ve ever tasted.

If they’re still selling these close to Christmas, they are definitely on my Christmas food list!
