Cooked in the microwave, this cheese burger and chips takes just 10 minutes to cook, from frozen! This is a microwave meal that is a real treat and quick to cook up on a whim.
Ingredients:
- ½ or 1 bread roll, toasted (if you don’t have a toaster, just use a fresh bread roll)
- 250 grams frozen chips
- 1 frozen beefburger
- ½ a mug of frozen peas
- A bit of cheddar cheese (optional)
- Splash of tomato ketchup
Method:
- In 10 minutes, chips can be microwave cooked. Simply place them in a microwave safe dish where they can spread out and flip them over every 2-3 minutes. They will brown up a little.
- A beef burger can be microwaved from frozen in a microwave safe dish in 3-4 minutes. Microwave on high power for 2 minutes, then turn the burger over and microwave on high power for 1 minute, then turn over and microwave for a final minute. It will brown as it cooks.
- Defrost the frozen peas in a mug of boiling water, drain and microwave the peas for 20-30 seconds just before serving.
